Zantedeschia Aethiopica
From Cape Region in South Africa very well
known as Calla or Water Lily.
Vivacious plant from a fleshy bulb which
sprouts every year during Spring.
With glossy leaves and wavy edges is very
used for cut flower centres.
It is grown as indoor plant.

DAYLIGHT
|
Shadow or half shadow in humid corners. The less
light the less flowering but bigger and more beautiful leaves.

TEMPERATURE
|
Soft weathers are better for the plant, even if it endures until 0ºC
degrees. If it is in a pot, put indoors when the weather is cold. In places
where the cold frosts, it will survive outdoors if the pot is totally under
water. Anyway put the plant indoors if possible.
If during the summer the plant was indoors, do not put it under 10ºC
degrees in winter.

IRRIGATION
|
Semiaquatic plant, it can be grow in a pot if it is
half in the water. Very good for ponds´ edges.

GROUND
|
Normal garden ground with sand, turf and organic fertilizer.

FLOWERING
|
Late bloom between March and October.

FERTILIZED
|
Garden floor enriched with organic fertilizer.

PRUNING
|
Cut withered flower to give the flowering more
strength.
