Handerbergia




Hardenbergia is a climbing evergreen plant from southwest Australia. It is really decorative because of the big amount of flowers that it has at the beginning of the spring.

Perfect for very well illuminated interiors or for outdoors in warm weathers.

It can grow 3 meters high.



DAYLIGHT


Full sun, half shadow.

TEMPERATURE


Soft winters. It tolerates drought and mild frost (until 0ºC).

IRRIGATION


It does not require much maintenance, but regular irrigation. 

GROUND


Well drained and humid soil.

FLOWERING


Little violet butterfly shaped flower in early spring. There are also white and pink colour varieties.

FERTILIZED


Use a bit of organic fertilizer at the beginning of the winter to improve the bloom.

PRUNING


Clear dead leaves and branches after the flowering.
