Cytisus Maderiensis




Very resistant bush from Madeira, Canarias and the Mediterranean area. It does not need much care.

Evergreen plant with spiked yellow odorous flowers, which use to grow taller than the foliage.



DAYLIGHT


Plenty sun for a better flowering.   

TEMPERATURE


It likes warm weather but it can support light frosts.  

IRRIGATION


Light watering, decreasing it when the temperatures drop. Adult plants resist droughts.


GROUND


Loose and alkaline substrate. Well drained.  

FLOWERING


From April until middle of summer.

FERTILIZER


Use rooting hormones when transplanting.   

PRUNING


Cut the extremes in February to have a more compact plant.
