SOLANUM JASMINOIDES 101:
This plant
is also known as night jasmine. It is a climbing shrub but it needs help to
climb: it has to be tided. Originally from Brazil, where it was used to
decorate events held at night and hence it took its popular name of night Jasmine.
Nowadays they have ornamental use, and can be found in gardens and even on
balconies.
Its leaves are perennial and of an intense green colour. Its flowers are
composed of 5 petals of white or light blue and are grouped in bouquets. |

It needs plenty of sun, but be sure to protect it from the

TEMPERATURE

Warm temperatures are better for this plant but it can handle light frost.

WATERING
|
Frequent to keep the substrate humid, but not so much that it is waterlogged.

Normal garden soil, well
drained.

FLOWERING
|
From the month of March and until Summer. In warmer
climates, flowering can last until Autumn.

FERTILIZING
|
During Spring and Summer every 15 days with mineral or algae
fertilizer

PRUNING
|
It is necessary only to control its size and to
bloom more strongly. It is better to do the pruning at the end of winter.
