DAYLIGHT
|
Plenty light but without direct sun during the
hottest hours of the day.
|
TEMPERATURE
|
It endures mild frosts and a humid environment is benign.
|
IRRIGATION
|
It needs to be well watered and sprayed every 5 days
during the summer and once a week winter. The rain water is the best and if
it is not possible, then water acidified. When the bud sprouts, be careful
with the water.
|
GROUND
|
Productive, acid and deep soil. It roots well in humid fields and it
is good to use fertilizer hormones.
The substrate should be a combination of 50% of thick sand and turf or
turf with pearlite.
|
FLOWERING
|
It blooms 2 or 3 times a year: in spring and in the
beginning of autumn. Anyway it can sprout during the whole year.
|
FERTILIZED
|
2 or 3 times a year: autumn, spring (before it sprouts) and summer.
Use chemical fertilizer rich in nitrogen (for the growth) and potassium (for
the bloom).
Iron sulphate is good during the vegetative period for avoid the
chlorosis: the appearance of yellow dots.
If the plant turns yellow could be because of a very high ground´s
pH.
|
PRUNING
|
It is necessary a cleaning prune: clear dead branches
and stems and ugly, sick ones.
You can also make a flowering prune after the bloom
to get a compact plant. This should be made in the middle of the spring, but
always before the sprout of flowers.
The best technique is the clamping.
